Prayed Over Pieces: Our Story

Updated: Nov 11, 2020

Hey Y'all!

I'm Autumn and I'm so happy you decided to check out Prayed Over Pieces!

This business is first and foremost here to encourage, share and bring joy and God's love. Prayed Over Pieces was started one day when I decided to refinish one of my own pieces at home. As I was working on it I began to listen to worship music and pray for my family. As a working mom of 3, it sometimes felt hard to find time to worship or get quiet time to pray for my husband and children, but this was amazing. Soon after that my kiddos each wanted to go to church camp and I decided I would refinish some furniture pieces to help raise money to send them to camp. I fell in love with the process and realized that this was something the Lord was calling me to do. I have always felt the call to ministry and I felt that this would be the perfect opportunity to share my faith, my love for art and help others while also providing for my family.

Now, as I work on each piece I pray for the family who receives this piece and at the completion of it a Bible verse is chosen for the individual piece.

Prayed Over Pieces has continued to grow, and I have loved getting the opportunity to meet so many people in my community, participate in fundraising events for local charities and also speak to groups about starting and running a small business. I have also had the opportunity to work and meet with other furniture artists and make friends around the world.

The journey has been amazing so far and I can't wait to see where the Lord takes it. I love creating one of a kind pieces and running this business, but please know that my goal is to help others in any way I can. Feel free to check out my site, blog posts and other pages and let me know if you need anything. Please let me know if there is any way I can help or be in prayer for you.
